For this latest project, Alonso returned to the clothing. ARMO is a line of shoes designed to transform, personalize, disassemble and flatten. On the one hand, the idea is to save space in transportation from the place of production to retail stores as well as being practical for everyday people. Furthermore, the interchangeability of the parts causes may have a longer shelf life, beyond fashions and trends.
The shoes were made in the framework of the project inclusive of a roof for Chile, which aims to provide people in need an alternative way out of poverty. The project is based on the pillars of the job fair. In the words of Rodrigo Alonso.
“Inclusive covers job-generating projects with low production costs and minimal expertise, key factors for the development and overcoming poverty in the short term. This is the case with these shoes, specially designed to be a product of easy production, low investment and a great contribution in terms of logistics, production and aesthetic. “
We must recognize that they are still a bit rustic and rather athletic, but we welcome the idea and the project. The ARMO are available in Santiago De Chile.
